Glamping Near the Grand Canyon: What to Expect at Highland

Thinking about glamping near the Grand Canyon?

We don’t blame you! Once you’ve experienced forest breezes, star-filled skies, and a king-sized bed all in one night, it’s hard to go back to sleeping on the ground. At Highland Grand Canyon, we’re redefining what it means to camp near one of the most iconic natural wonders in the world.

What Is Glamping, Anyway?

Glamping (short for glamorous camping) is all about blending the best of both worlds: the beauty of nature with the comfort of a real bed, soft linens, and space to breathe. It’s all the best parts of camping, with none of the work and without the half-deflated air mattress.

Why Glamp Near the Grand Canyon?

The South Rim of the Grand Canyon is one of the most visited places in the U.S., and for good reason. The views are unforgettable, the trails are world-renowned, and the sunsets hit different. But after a long day of adventuring, most visitors head back to hotels or crowded campsites.

That’s where Highland comes in.

Welcome to Highland Grand Canyon

Located just 4 miles from the South Rim, Highland is the closest glamping retreat to Grand Canyon National Park. Our off-grid hideaway offers five safari-style tents spread across 10 peaceful acres of ponderosa pine and juniper forest.

Each tent includes:

  • A king-size Nectar memory foam mattress with luxury linens and towels

  • Heated mattress pad for cool desert nights and a fan for warm afternoons

  • Hanging lights, lanterns, and a Jackery power bank to charge devices

  • Private deck with seating and stargazing views

  • Hot water kettle with tea and instant coffee

You’ll also have access to:

  • Clean bathrooms with hot showers and Public Goods shower products

  • Fully stocked outdoor kitchen and grilling area

  • Picnic tables, Adirondack chairs, and a communal firepit

  • Corn hole, giant jenga and board games

  • Free Wifi

We’ve designed Highland to be peaceful, welcoming, and just rustic enough to still feel like an adventure.

Who It's For

Couples, small families, and solo travelers love Highland for its balance of seclusion and convenience. If you like the idea of camping but want your morning coffee hot and your bed plush, this is your kind of place.

What to Know Before You Book

We’re fully off-grid, which means all our power comes through solar energy. We have plenty of power for lights and fans, but not enough for blowdryers, curling irons or other electric devices.

The roads to Highland are well-maintained dirt and gravel roads. Google Maps will get you here just fine, but you’ll want to screenshot your confirmation since there’s not cell service at our gate.

And yes, wildlife is part of the charm. Elk, deer, and the occasional coyote make appearances. Don’t worry, they mostly keep to themselves as long as they’re left alone!

Book Your Stay

Glamping near the Grand Canyon doesn’t get better than this. Highland is open seasonally from May through October, and books up fast, especially in spring and fall.

Ready to make some memories? Book your stay today and see the Grand Canyon the way it was meant to be experienced: wild, peaceful, and unforgettable.
