Grand Canyon Glamping: The Ultimate Guide

If you have ever dreamed of falling asleep under a blanket of stars, waking up to elk walking past your porch, and still sleeping in a real bed, glamping at the Grand Canyon is for you. At Highland Grand Canyon, we built our retreat to give guests the magic of camping with the comfort of a boutique stay.

What Is Glamping?

Glamping means glamorous camping, but for us it really means a chance to connect with the Canyon without giving up good sleep. Our tents are real safari canvas tents set on wood decks. Inside you will find Nectar king size beds with memory foam mattresses, heated mattress pads for chilly nights, lanterns, and unique décor that feels more like a boutique hotel than a campground.

You are still surrounded by the forest, hearing elk at night and birds in the morning, but you do not need to worry about pitching a tent or sleeping on the ground.

Stargazing at Highland

Because we are completely off grid and use dark sky compliant lighting, the stars here are incredible. Guests often tell us it is the first time they have seen the Milky Way so clearly. You can sit on your porch, bundle up in a blanket, and watch the sky put on a show. It is one of the things hotels can never replicate.

What To Expect When You Glamp With Us

  • Five unique safari tents, each with its own personality

  • 2 private bathhouses stocked with eco friendly toiletries

  • An outdoor kitchen and fire pit for evenings together

  • Wildlife like elk, deer, and coyotes just beyond your porch

  • Owners on site to help you plan your days

Why Choose Highland

We grew up here and built Highland ourselves, so we know what makes a Canyon trip special. Want to know which overlooks are best at sunrise or where to grab dinner without a wait? We will tell you. When you stay here, you are not just booking a bed, you are gaining local guides who care about your trip.
