What It’s Like to Stay in a Luxury Safari Style Tent at Highland Grand Canyon
A Stay That Feels Like Nature and Comfort Combined
When guests step into one of Highland’s safari style tents, the first thing they notice is the calm. The canvas walls filter the sounds of the forest, the soft lighting glows from hanging lanterns, and a faint pine scent drifts through the open screen door.
Every detail inside is designed to make you feel close to nature while still surrounded by quiet luxury.
What You’ll Find Inside
Each tent is furnished with a king Nectar memory foam mattress topped with a down duvet and a heated mattress pad for those cool canyon nights. Beside the bed, you’ll find cozy chairs, soft lighting, and locally inspired decor that gives every space its own personality.
Our five tents — Juniper, Sage, Pinyon, Ponderosa, and Gamble Oak — each have their own story. Some are bright and airy, others moody and warm, but all share the same care for comfort.
Lanterns and pendant lights add a gentle glow, powered by solar Jackery stations that keep things sustainable and simple. You can charge your phone, warm your bed, and still be completely off grid.
The Joy of the Porch
Every tent includes a private porch with seating and space to unwind. In the morning, you can sip coffee while the forest wakes up. In the evening, watch the light fade through the trees as elk wander nearby.
Guests often say these quiet porch moments are their favorite part of staying at Highland. It’s where the day slows down, and the sounds of the forest take over.
Shared Spaces, Private Experience
While each tent offers privacy, Highland’s communal spaces create connection. The outdoor kitchen and dining area sit under a wooden pergola, perfect for grilling dinner or chatting with other guests. The firepit becomes the center of camp once the sun goes down, and it’s where stories are shared under the stars.
Our bathhouse has two private units with flushing toilets and hot showers, always kept clean and stocked. Everything you need is here, but it still feels wild and untouched.
Sustainability with Style
Highland is completely off grid, powered by solar energy and designed with a light footprint. We built this retreat to protect the land that Fabienne grew up on, keeping it quiet and natural while offering guests comfort and ease.
This is what makes glamping Grand Canyon so special: you can enjoy luxury without disconnecting from what makes the Canyon beautiful.
A Day at Highland
Wake up to birds calling through the trees. Make coffee using the electric kettle and sit on the deck as the light filters through the pines. Spend the day exploring the South Rim or wandering through Kaibab Forest.
When you return, heat up dinner on the grill, play a few games near the firepit, and end the night stargazing with a blanket and a cup of tea.
It’s simple, beautiful, and completely yours.
Come see how comfort and wilderness come together. Book your stay at Highland Grand Canyon and experience what real glamping feels like.
